On August 1, 2018, Beckom Law secures a $135,000 mortgage foreclosure surplus proceeds payout for our long-time client, Mr. Alvaro Gamboa. Mr. Gamboa had to suffer the stress and uncertainty associated with going through a California, non-judicial foreclosure process. Moreover, Mr. Gamboa had to suffer ineffective assistance of legal counsel that was supposed to secure him a "loan modification" through a wrongful foreclosure lawsuit against his mortgage lender.
After a poor attempt to litigate his case, Mr. Gamboa's former counsel (who shall remain nameless) dropped his case and left him in a lurch. When Mr. Gamboa found Beckom Law, he was unsure of what future he would be facing, as his home was sold in a foreclosure sale (auction) and he did not have a long-term housing option.
Beckom Law Legal Secretary, Noemi Pereira, was able to ease Mr. Gamboa's fears through a highly professional, personal customer service approach. After three months of navigating the administrative, trustee surplus claims process (California Civil Code Section 2924j), Beckom Law was able to secure a surplus check for $135,000 on behalf of Mr. Gamboa and his family. Mr. Gamboa now has the peace of mind to know that he has plenty of funds available to secure a long-term housing option for his family.
As depicted in the photograph above, Mr. Gamboa was overjoyed with our results on his behalf. If you are facing a mortgage foreclosure sale and are unsure of your rights, please give a call to Beckom Law at 800-581-7030.
